I had to know if this was true…

plus the dino dude was a dollar.

over the course of the next three days I will observe, study and document the stages of the dinosaurs growth and if any mental development.

This will be a three part series. Kinda like lord of the rings or the matrix.

I only used 6 oz of milk cause I didnt want it to be a big meal like drink. I also used no bananas or peanut butter to keep back on fat and extra calories.  Below is the nutritional info for this shake I made. Which was really delicious! it was light on my stomach but was a nice late night shake if you have to eat something!

We collected everything we needed for the trip and headed out! had pizza at some joint in Payson then made our way out the Herber where our cabin awaited us. We also made a pit stop at Wal Mart where we picked up some Chocolate mini-doughnuts  as well as two sleds… one for Myself and one for Foxy.

We arrived at the cabin shortly thereafter…

It was really nice and we even had our own mini cabin with bunk beds! I was quick to think and called the top right away! we played in the snow all night and chilled our drinks with big ass icicles… We had home-made cookies!

We woke up the next day, played in the snow, cleaned up our mess and had breakfast. we then hit the road home…

My epic diamond encrusted Booty Sweat pitcher was the most awesome of all pimp cups there that night…

My favorite food of the night was Russ’s Hobo stew… I’ve had it made by both his sons in the past on camping trips but he knowns how to make it! Mara won the Best Tasting and Presentation award with her Everclear Jello Shots!

There was lots of fun going on all night and at midnight we celebrated the “birth” of a New Year!

In no particular order we have Beer Pong, Fire, The Ghetto Fab Toilet, Mike Snorting Kokanee, Lil Tiny Dog, The Elusive Tree Skunk, The Cardboard Cabinet, Huge Hunk o’ Meat, Ghetto Rigged ATM and A pic of  my High School’s memorabilia shit at Apple Bees!

I got “home” around 8pm Xmas Eve. we drank a good amount of booze and opened presents. I got a Bad ass 22″ Samsung Monitor some Hiking shoes as well as a dope ass sleeping bag that I slept in the majority of the weekend with boozer…

We had Christmas Dinner the next day then went to a friends house in thousand palms for a bon fire and some beer pong. we owned everyone in attendance…

Drove up to Dads the next day where we drank craft beer and had some bomb ass food. His wife enjoyed Christmas a little too much and her hangover did not permit her to eat dinner or drink with us.  After dinner we watched Star Trek and around 11:30 discovered that we we’re very hungry. Cause dad lives in the hills we couldnt get a pizza delivered or a taxi  to take us down to Dennys. LAME.

Sunday we had Mexican food and I couldnt sleep so I stayed up til 4:30 watching “Pawn Star” and the History of Sex on the History channel.

We get to the Clubhouse in Tempe at about 9:30pm where the band “Weird is the new Cool” will be playing their last show! I have never seen them but they are friends with Donny and company so thats why I am here, “The Crush” a band that I am familiar with is also playing! what a nice surprise! they dont have “The Crush Girls” with them anymore or at least not tonight… didn’t think that idea would work out anyways…

I catch a few songs of the crush and have a few nasty well Cranberry/Vodkas, After a few drinks the Headliners who also won a Battle of the bands contest to earn the privilege of opening up for 311 last week or so get ready to play their final show…

I manage to get pretty close to the stage as I do enjoy this new band I have just discovered… a few songs in and I’m on stage dancing around with some other people…  I try my best to emulate the other people dancing but I just don’t have a knack for dancing so I’m sure I made a fool of myself… oh well.

They also played a beer pong song where we the audiance were given ping pong balls and got to throw them at this girl that had a bunch of cups glued to a pizza box… very entertaining!

It sucks that this band is breaking up cause they have some great mushc and REALLY know how to engage the audience… at least I got to see them once…

The next day I went to the gym which was HELL…  the end.

This is the 3rd year we have had the party here as the company has grown we can no longer get down at country clubs and nice hotels, we need a stadium!

This year I decided to bring my mom, Shes a great lady and she’s down to party so I figured it would be a good time! She flew in to Arizona 2 nights prior to the party so we had some time to hang out and visit. We hit up one of my favorite breweries and did some shopping on friday. I also happened to accidental get REALLY drunk on tequilla which gave me a horrible hang over for all of the next day, which also happened to be the day of the party!

Saturday around 5pm my hangover was gone!

Donny and his girl Chrissy came over to our hotel for drinks prior to the party and we stopped by a couple other rooms to visit with friends and have a drink before the party.  Finally  around 6:30 we we’re on a shuttle bus over to the field.

The Comedian sucked and The Four tops and The Temptations are respectable but not my style… However they did have a make shift fake ice skating rink that I checked out for a little bit which was pretty cool. also I didnt pay more than $20 on drinks the whole night! between underage friends and tickets I found on the ground I was good to go as far as drinks were concerned.

It was great to visit and celebrate with some of my good friends from work as well! great times! they even had fireworks going off indoors which doesnt exactly seem safe that instilled a feeling of danger/awesomeness. The Bar closed at 11 and I was long gone before that tragedy.

Back at the hotel in Suite 3025 we had a nice lil’ party, got my rock band on and again had a merry ole’ time with some good people! There was a brief intermission when hotel staff came up to quiet us down a bit… but the festivities picked right back up 15 mins later…

3:30am and our order of 2 dozen wings and frence fries are on their way to our room! we get down on that for a bit while Donny is stone cold passed out, we shortly pass out as well…

I wake up Hangoverless! while Donny wakes up with a super mega hangover that lasts him ALL day and night! this usually happens when he has more than two beers, as he is a super lightweight and cannot handle his booze…

I drop mom off at the airport a few hours later and life returns to normal…

Friday

We left Friday night and arrived in Flagstaff around 9:30pm unpacked and had a beer at the hotel and then got a cab to the Beaver Street Brewery, where we all ordered some pretty delicious personal pizzas! and got the sampler platter which contained six 4 oz. beers. We had two seasonal’s, an IPA, Red, Heffeweizen and a Porter. My favorite of the night were the Jubilee Seasonal and the R&R Oatmeal Porter. The Jubilee was very flavorful and had a nice fruity/nutty taste to it and a really rich taste. the Porter was also an amazing brew. We hit up the bar that was attached to the brewery next door.

We walked the cold streets of Flagstaff to a gas station where we loaded up on snacks for the hotel room and waited for a taxi… 30 minutes we waited.  Finally we we’re back at the room where we crashed sometime around 2am.

Saturday

We got a late start around 11:30. After showers we hads an improvised beer tasting brunch where we tried Purple Haze Blueberry Ale and Blueberry Muffins as well as Dogfish Head Chicory Stout with double chocolate Mother’s cookies. both great parings. This was preceded by a big ass breakfast at Cracker Barrel

We began our day heading out to Winslow where there was apparently a huge meteor crater. which sounded cool.

We arrived at the Meteor crater and checked that shit out…

Then headed towards the real goal… The Grand Canyon!

after tons of driving I was starting to lose it… so Steve drove for a bit while I got a nice lil’ nap.

Bam! out of no where the Grand Canyon was beside us. so we pulled over!

It was windy as hell which made it super cold but we still had a good time! no hiking but still got some cool pictures. It was insane at how massive the grand canyon is! we hung out here for a while checked out some different spots and headed back to Flagstaff around 5ish.

Back at the hotel room we chilled out for a few and had a beer or two then headed out to the Flagstaff Brewing Company for dinner and more beer.

We all settled on burgers here and again we all got the beer sampler. 4 beers this time and they were in 6oz glasses I believe. on the menu was a Pale Ale, A Seasonal Spruce Tip Ale, a Porter and Stout. While both breweries this weekend had great beer the beer at Flagstaff brewing companys stood out a little more! namely the Special K’s Sitka Spruce Tip Ale and The Sasquatch porter!  Our waitress also knew her shit when it came to the beer as well! The Burgers were also good.

Checked out Maloneys cause it used to be cool when it was in Tempe… its not too cool in Flagstaff…

Ended up at the uptown billards for some Shipyard Pumpkin head ale’s and pool.  Finished up here and took a beat as explorer taxi back to the room to crash out.

Sunday

6:10am  I am awaken by Justin shoving a shot of 5-hour energy in my face. I willingly shot it and start the unfortunate task of waking up. After about 2 1/2 hrs and trying really hard not to fall asleep behind the wheel we are home!
