Epic Things

This Thursday was extra epic in the sense that I was going to taste the strongest beer in existence… yup thats right. The strongest beer ever brewed on Earth! This is gonna up there with the birth of my first child, when I make my first million… etc. You get the drift…

My friend Rick who up until now has been the sole contributor as far as comments go on this blog, Anyways Ricks awesome wife found a bottle of the Samual Adam’s Utopias. This beer was so amazing. for years I had dreamed of someday trying this beer in all of its amazingly delicious glory!

Finally I get to try it…

Rick cooks this big ass steak dinner for 14 people that was just amazing! Crazy thing about Rick is hes got all these people at his house eating like $300 worth of steak and about to drink his ultra rare $200 “super” beer and hes smiling the whole time. He’s smiling cause hes happy that the people around him, his friends are happy and having a really great time. Which Is legit. therefore Rick is Legit. Too Legit… but he doesn’t quit.

We filmed an episode and review for Localbrewery.com after Dinner. We had 2 guests for a total of 5 people on camera which I think is way too many people but I’m sure it turned out alright.

The Utopias was an amazing beer. the fact that im calling it an “amazing beer” blows my mind because its the furthest thing I have ever drank from a beer, but its a beer. This 27% ABV beer looked like maple syrup in the glass I drank it out of. It had a nice thick consistency, It had amazing legs that lasted forever.  I was able to smell and describe the smell of this beer from 5ft away! it really messes with my head to call this a beer. but thats exactly what it is!
